When ‘season’ hits South Florida, there’s one thing that’s for certain: houseguests will follow. Most Boca residents have family or friends who live in a much colder climate (with the exception of California and Hawaii). So, it’s no wonder they flock to us during the winter. I personally love it. We have a guest room! We have a pool! I just don’t enjoy having to meal plan (and shop) for a large group. That’s where your ultimate Boca Raton houseguest survival kit from Perdue Farms comes in…
When it comes to new restaurants and retailers (even bars!) opening at Town Center, this Modern Boca Mom is usually all over it. But this fall was busy, people!!! I was invited to a “hard hat” media preview back in October 2019 to check out a new high-tech restaurant and virtual reality lounge concept called Rex Baron at Town Center Boca Raton. I was intrigued. And honestly, a bit confused as to why something ‘outside the box’ like this might come to Boca over a tourist destination like Orlando. But besides being crazy busy, I also hadn’t written about Rex Baron yet because it JUST opened to the public on December 16th!
There are few things that I love more than entertaining friends and family. We were always the apartment in NYC that our friends would flock to. And now, our house in Boca is (IMO) the destination for girly gatherings, family celebrations and play dates for my daughter and her buddies. What I don’t love about entertaining, however, is 1) cooking and 2) cleaning up. But who does? Luckily we live in a time where there’s pretty much an online solution for everything. Need a personal chef? No problem! Someone to clean up? I have your people.
