With back-to-school season comes…back-to-school kids’ injuries! 🙁 Just because we’re (still) in a pandemic doesn’t mean other accidents aren’t happening. You’d think us parents would get a pass right now? Nope! Good thing our city has amazing pediatric emergency care in Boca Raton at local hospital, West Boca Medical Center. I feel so much better as a mom knowing that they’re there if we need them.
By the way, did you know West Boca Medical Center (WBMC) has the ONLY dedicated pediatric emergency room in town? They treat newborns all the way up to children 18 years of age.
Pediatric Emergency Care in Boca Raton
The West Boca Medical Center pediatric ER offers pediatric ED physicians, skilled ED nurses and even has a separate waiting area in the ER just for kids so that they’re not surrounded by unfamiliar grown-ups in the regular waiting room. Their goal is to make families feel at ease, especially during a stressful situation like an ER visit.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
WBMC also has a pediatric ICU if your family is in a place where that’s necessary. It’s actually a special place in the hospital designed to give the sickest children the highest level of care. The PICU is led by a Pediatric Intensivist and has a high ratio of nurses to patients for the best care possible.
Put this address in your phone. Hopefully you’ll never need it, but just in case, it’s better to be safe than sorry: 21644 State Road 7, Boca Raton, FL 33428
In addition to pediatric emergency care in Boca Raton at West Boca Medical Center, they offer additional services that enable children to grow up healthy and happy.
Additional West Boca Medical Center Pediatric Services

I’m just personally so glad that all of these options (that I hope I’ll never need) exist just minutes from east Boca! Wishing you a joyful and safe entry back-to-school!
