It’s raining, it’s pouring, it’s…SUMMER in South Florida! I think I conveniently forgot about “rainy season” when moving back from NYC…oops. A friend of mine just equated this weather to “Boca’s version of a dreary winter.” So true. I think I may need that plastic stroller cover after all… So, what is there to do with your child when the sunny summer weather isn’t so sunny? Mom of 3, Gail Nobile Field, certainly found one awesome solution by opening up kids gym, We Rock the Spectrum Boca Raton! The indoor kids gym in Boca Raton.
Even though this isn’t a MOMpreneur Monday feature, I feel like it kind of should be. You see, after Gail’s son was diagnosed with autism at 18 months, she wanted to find a place in South Florida to take him to play and let some of that “natural toddler energy” out. She wanted to find somewhere that wasn’t your typical “sensory overload kids place,” a place where she wouldn’t have to say ‘I am sorry’ every five minutes because her son was a little different or not up to par with the other kids, somewhere where they felt welcome.
She scoured the internet and couldn’t find anything in our area to accommodate her child or any other children with a disorder like autism. Gail’s research did not stop, however, and she went a little further and found out about We Rock The Spectrum Kids Gym for all Kids in California and thought, what an amazing place! Their actual motto is: FINALLY A PLACE WHERE YOU NEVER HAVE TO SAY SORRY!
Gail knew this looked like a place she and her family could call home and after reading further saw they had franchising opportunities…and after a lot of hard work and planning, We Rock the Spectrum Boca Raton was launched! It’s a great indoor kids gym in Boca Raton.
We Rock the Spectrum Boca Raton provides children (toddler – 11 years old) with a fun and motivational environment to help them in the areas of strength, movement, sensory processing, communication, positive behavior modification, social interactions and self-care skills. Their unique equipment assists all children in their neurological growth and development. In making sure We Rock sticks to their core mission of inclusion, they’ve also added a low-lit calming room for kids who might need a sensory break.
I took #dailybabyavery and her (boy)friend Channing there earlier this month (both kiddos just turned 1) and it was an eye-opening experience. I am clearly new to the “kiddie gym” scene and wasn’t sure how Avery would do.
Well, I’m happy to say that even one-year-olds love this place (and the staff was so nice!). I mean…this was #dailbabyavery’s reaction when we finally left:
Sad face. Don’t worry, she fell asleep in the car all of 5 minutes later.

I really mean it when I saw the staff was so nice. They were very invested in not only playing with the kids and facilitating all of the equipment, but also in the kids’ safety. Super important at a kids gym, I think!
