I’m pretty sure Halloween is the best mommy blogger holiday EVER. We get to write about the best Halloween events in South Florida and Boca Raton, decorating, cooking (PUMPKINS!), costumes and showcase adorable photos of our kids dressed up as all sorts of cute things. Pre-baby, #modernbocadad and I used to rock the “couples costumes”. Oh yes! Our great friends throw an epic Halloween party each year, so I always felt like we really needed to work hard to come up with a great outfit! I’m pretty confident we succeeded.

Clematis By Fright-Featuring The Spazmatics (80’s Cover Band)

Activities include a haunted walk-through, carnival games, toddler room, crafts, a costume contest, and more. The carnival experience will feature indoor games, inflatable obstacle course, and bounce houses and Halloween-themed arts and crafts.

Coral Springs Thrills and Chills

Coral Springs is conjuring a spooky space for tricks, treats, and ghoulish goodies as the city hosts Coral Springs Thrills and Chills!
With a little hocus pocus, and a lot of community spirit, the Coral Springs Gymnasium will transform into a fall festival featuring themed spaces and activities for all ages.
Activities include a haunted walk-through, carnival games, toddler room, crafts, a costume contest, and more. The carnival experience will feature indoor games, inflatable obstacle course, and bounce houses and Halloween-themed arts and crafts.
A Halloween Costume Contest will take place at 6 p.m. and allow entrants the chance to win prizes for wearing the best costumes in various categories, including cutest, funniest, scariest, most creative, and best group. Participants will need to arrive and be lined up at 5:30 p.m.

60th Annual Halloween Parade

- Location: Starts at Atlantic Avenue at NE 5th Ave., Delray Beach
- Brought to you by The Rotary Club of Delray Beach.
- Be a part of the parade and show off your costumes! Meet on Atlantic Ave. at NE 5th Ave. to line up for the parade. The parade will end at Old School Square, right into Kidsfest of Delray. Enjoy free ice cream sponsored by the Rotary Club of Delray Beach upon entering.

Spooktacular Science: Tricks & Treats Weekend at MODS
DATE: October 28-29; 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Saturday & Noon-5:00 p.m. Sunday

Join the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) for a ghostly good time at its “Spooktacular Science: Tricks and Treats Weekend” on October 28-29!
Calling all ghouls and goblins! Discover MODS’ creepy critters and create your own spooky haunted house with real fog. It’s sure to be a spooktacular time!

Exhibits, Shows and Demos: Using engineering skills and the engineering design process in The Hangar, MODS’ Makerspace, guests will construct a spooky structure using recycled and reusable materials and learn how to create a haunted house setting with dry ice and soap!
- Animal Encounters: See how the creatures we may call “creepy” or “crawly” (snakes, lizards, tarantulas and scorpions) play an important role in the world we live in and learn what we can do to protect them.
- Watch an IMAX on the GIANT Screen: Explore the eerie animals of Deep Sea 3D.
- Just for Early Learners (ages 0-6): Little pumpkins will make-and-take creepy, crawly spiders and dance to the monster mash music time.

Taste of The Square in West Palm Beach
DATES: October 12th from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
WHERE: 700 S. Rosemary Ave, West Palm Beach
Taking place from 6-8:30pm, the palate-pleasing evening event will showcase the talents of The Square’s celebrated chefs preparing appetizers, entrees and dessert samplings from the following participating restaurants: Adrienne’s Pizzabar, Angie’s Epicurean, BurgerFi, City Cellar, City Pizza, El Camino, Felice, Galley, Harry’s, Il Bellagio, Planta, Pura Vida, Ruth’s Chris, Sloan’s, The Salty, and True Food Kitchen.
Event-goers will enjoy live music, bar, an artist-led Pumpkin Painting Experience benefiting the Promise Fund of Florida, an interactive installation provided by Discover the Palm Beaches offering photo-worthy moments and more.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite and start at $50 for general admission. VIP passes are priced at $75 and includes advanced access to event starting at 5:30pm before the event opens to the public at 6pm, two drink tickets and a favor bag. There will be one “taste” per ticket per restaurant and tickets are limited.

Annual Pompano Beach Autumn Festival
