Taste buds rejoice! David Burke (one of my all time favorite NYC restaurateurs) is bringing a NEW restaurant concept to South Florida…and the name is still a secret.
It will be nestled in the BRAND-NEW Silverspot Cinema, an eleven screen theater (with bar) at the Promenade at Coconut Creek (4441 Lyons Road), which opened last week.
MBMom had the opportunity to attend the media preview for Silverspot Cinema (with the restaurant launch still to come).
It offers moviegoers a stylish design and atmosphere, creating a truly one of a kind “boutique” destination theater.
The theater is equipped with the latest sound & projection technology, reserved stadium seating, 1,457 extra-large hand stitched leather seats specially made for Silverspot.
These seats are no joke. I did not want to get up they were so comfy.
In addition to mainstream Hollywood fare, Silverspot Cinema will showcase alternative programming with independent films, award-winning foreign films and exclusive screenings of operas, ballets, concerts and theater.
David Burke Group will also bring its whimsical flair to the venue’s culinary concessions, which you order via touchscreen at the counter. So hi-tech!
Notable DB restaurant locations around the country include David Burke Kitchen, David Burke at Bloomingdale’s and David Burke Fishtail in New York City; Burke’s Bacon Bar, Angry Taco and David Burke Fromagerie in New Jersey and David Burke’s Primehouse in Chicago, along with numerous openings on the horizon.
Following in the Promenade at Coconut Creek’s LEED® certified footsteps, Silverspot is also actively pursuing formal LEED® certification and is on track to achieve this milestone in 2015 under the LEED for Core and Shell 2009 rating system. It is anticipated to be the first LEED® certified cinema in Florida and one of less than ten cinemas nationwide with this distinction.
Silverspot guests are welcome to register on-line at www.silverspot.net for the theater’s Spot Rewards program whereby they can earn ten points for every dollar spent redeemable for tickets, food and beverages and more. Tickets will cost $14.50 for adults and $9.75 for children, with discounts for seniors and matinees and additional fees for 3-D movies.
We’ll have more information on the David Burke restaurant opening as it becomes available. Stay tuned MBMoms!
