f you’re looking for a new outdoor adventure with your kids, the Boca Raton Traffic Garden at North Park needs to be on your list. This unique play-and-learn space officially opened this week, giving Boca families a safe and fun place for children to practice road safety.

So…what exactly is a traffic garden? It’s a miniature street system, complete with stop signs, crosswalks, and bike lanes, designed to teach kids how to navigate the rules of the road. Whether they’re on bikes, scooters, or just walking, kids get to practice real-world safety skills in a controlled environment.
📍 Where is the Boca Raton Traffic Garden?
You’ll find it at North Park on the old tennis courts, near Jeffrey Street and NW 2nd Avenue (across from the future Boca Paddle facility). Type 5805 NW 2nd Ave, Boca Raton, FL into your GPS and you’re good to go.
Why Families Will Love It
Free to use (no motorized vehicles allowed)
Plenty of parking nearby
Portable restrooms on-site
Shade structures for parents coming soon (end of September 2025!)
A fun, hands-on way for kids to build confidence outdoors
The City of Boca Raton has also hinted that local businesses could partner to add mini “buildings” inside the Traffic Garden in the future. Can you imagine your little one biking past a kid-sized Publix or Cannoli Kitchen? Too cute!

Plan Your Visit
The Boca Raton Traffic Garden at North Park is already buzzing with families, and I know it will be even more popular as the weather cools down. Just remember to bring helmets and water—it’s South Florida, after all.
