Tell us a little about your background and why you decided to start Whisper Health Functional Dermatology Boca Raton…
Hi! I’m Kerry Jenkins, PA-C. I have been working as a PA in dermatology for 24 years. Around the 16 year mark, my youngest daughter began complaining of tummy troubles. If I took her to her pediatrician, I predicted that they would recommend imaging, an endoscopic procedure, give her a medication, and label her with IBS…and I KNEW that was not going to get us where we needed to be. I found a Functional Medicine Nutritionist and scheduled a visit. This nutritionist changed the trajectory of my career.
Once I learned how Functional Medicine was different from conventional medicine and how it aimed to identify the underlying cause of disease to truly heal people, I was hooked. I began taking courses, completed my education, became certified and opened my Functional Medicine practice, Whisper Health dermatology Boca Raton in 2018 and I have never looked back! Had my daughter never had a health hiccup, I would not be where I am today!
What challenges did you face early on?
There were many challenges along the way and I had so many doubts. For one, I doubted that I could run a business. I never went to business school! I doubted that I could be successful and I doubted that people would see the value in my services. But, I was brave and I took a leap of faith and I bet on myself! I created a practice that survived a global pandemic and continues to provide personalized medical care to those seeking alternative ways to heal their body. I’m so excited that I’ve overcome those challenges to be celebrating my 5th year Anniversary this year (2024)!

Whisper Health Functional Dermatology Boca Raton is unique as we have capitalized on my 24 years of experience in the specialty of dermatology.
