MOMpreneur: n. defined as a female business owner who is actively balancing the role of mom and the role of entrepreneur.
Welcome to our latest installment of MOMpreneur Monday, highlighting businesses and brands that were founded by female entrepreneurs and fellow Mommas!
Today’s featured Modern Boca Entrepreneur is Madison Levine, M.S.,CCC-SLP, a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist and founder of Madison Speech Center Boca Raton.
Tell us a little about your background and how you got started…
I earned my Master’s degree from New York University, where I had the privilege of learning from some of the most respected professors in the field. That experience—combined with hands-on training in a variety of settings including schools, home health, and private practice—has shaped me into the therapist I am today.
One of my greatest inspirations has always been my mom. As an entrepreneur, she’s encouraged me to pursue my own path and build something meaningful—something I can truly pour my heart and soul into. Watching her grow a successful business has been incredibly motivating, and the values that led to her success—passion, resilience, and vision—are ones she’s passed down to me.
When the opportunity arose to become my own boss, I knew it was the right moment to take a leap and create something truly meaningful. I’ve always believed in embracing new challenges with creativity and heart—and launching Madison Speech Center Boca Raton has given me the perfect path to do just that. It’s been an incredibly fulfilling journey, and I’ve loved every step along the way.
What is unique about Madison Speech Center Boca Raton?
“I think my practice is unique because first, you get me! When families call, they aren’t being directed to the front desk or being assigned a random therapist at the practice. They are in touch with me directly and I truly develop a team approach to help each kiddo.”
I also think my practice is unique because I take a language literacy approach to therapy versus targeting one at a time. I combine oral and written language instruction through a multisensory approach to create a cohesive and comprehensive learning experience. By combining speaking, listening, reading, and writing, this method fosters the development of language skills that are all connected. It supports learners in enhancing their communication abilities, critical thinking, and overall language improvement.
Each family has my phone number and they can call or text pretty much any time. I like to create more than just a therapy relationship with my families– I am truly here to help and I am grateful to witness each child’s journey. For example, the other day I received pictures of one of my clients graduating from pre-school! What a joy. Being included in these special moments is so important to me.
Why should Modern Boca Mom readers become your clients at Madison Speech Center Boca Raton?
I think your readers should become my clients because my heart is really in this. I wake up every morning thinking about how I can help these kiddos to the best of my ability, how I can continue to be creative and keep things fun and engaging for children. I am constantly keeping up with the new research and data out there and am constantly evolving to be the best therapist I can be.
What exciting things are coming up with your business?
I am leading Mommy & Me classes at Madison Speech Center Boca Raton! I love to host events and meet new families and children. In future, I am hoping to connect with other professionals such as child nutritionists, potty-training specialists, IEP advocates, among others, and host community learning events.
What do you love about living and working in South Florida?
As someone born and raised in Boca Raton, South Florida is not just my hometown, it’s my life! Although I ventured away for college and graduate school, I always knew I would end up living here and raising my family in the place where my earliest memories were made. I’ve seen South Florida grow and flourish, and I can’t imagine calling anywhere else home!
South Florida isn’t just where my family lives—it’s where I’ve built deep connections with my chosen family and found a true sense of community. Professionally, this area has offered incredible opportunities, especially in Boca Raton, where I’ve been fortunate to grow my network and career. There’s something really special about building a business and giving back to the same community that helped shape who I am today. It feels full circle—and I’m so grateful to be part of it.
