MOMpreneur Monday: Madison Speech Center

Hi! My name is Madison Levine, M.S.,CCC-SLP. I am a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist and I have always had a passion for helping people. Not to mention, even though I’m not a mom quite yet, I have always LOVED kids!

I’ve worked with children my whole life between camp counseling and coaching lacrosse. I love to teach and help kiddos grow. Growing up, I said I wanted to be a teacher or a doctor but when I learned about speech pathology and what that entailed, I realized that was actually going to be my dream job. Because in our scope of practice, I can pretty much do everything from helping a child succeed academically with literacy/reading comprehension to helping a child with language delays communicate–or even work with a medically complex case. It was my dream job. I pursued it and have never looked back.

I earned my Master’s degree from New York University, where I had the privilege of learning from some of the most respected professors in the field. That experience—combined with hands-on training in a variety of settings including schools, home health, and private practice—has shaped me into the therapist I am today.

 

One of my greatest inspirations has always been my mom. As an entrepreneur, she’s encouraged me to pursue my own path and build something meaningful—something I can truly pour my heart and soul into. Watching her grow a successful business has been incredibly motivating, and the values that led to her success—passion, resilience, and vision—are ones she’s passed down to me.

 

What is unique about Madison Speech Center Boca Raton?

“I think my practice is unique because first, you get me! When families call, they aren’t being directed to the front desk or being assigned a random therapist at the practice. They are in touch with me directly and I truly develop a team approach to help each kiddo.”                                                         

I also think my practice is unique because I take a language literacy approach to therapy versus targeting one at a time. I combine oral and written language instruction through a multisensory approach to create a cohesive and comprehensive learning experience. By combining speaking, listening, reading, and writing, this method fosters the development of language skills that are all connected. It supports learners in enhancing their communication abilities, critical thinking, and overall language improvement.

 

Each family has my phone number and they can call or text pretty much any time. I like to create more than just a therapy relationship with my families– I am truly here to help and I am grateful to witness each child’s journey. For example, the other day I received pictures of one of my clients graduating from pre-school! What a joy. Being included in these special moments is so important to  me.
