Tell us a little about your background and why you decided to start Luxe Tribe Activewear…
Hi! My name is Lexie Barry, and I am the founder of Luxe Tribe. As a mom of two young children, I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges of balancing motherhood, maintaining an active lifestyle, and feeling confident in my body. I embarked on this entrepreneurial journey during my maternity leave with my second baby.
Being a mom has not only shaped my perspective on what women need in their daily wear, but has also fueled my passion for creating a supportive community for other moms. I set out to create affordable activewear that not only supports women through their daily adventures, but also gives back to programs for kids in need.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to provide the perfect and affordable activewear that empowers women to embrace their strength, beauty, and confidence—both inside and out.
Through our own experiences and commitment to wellness, family time, and personal growth, we strive to build a tribe of like-minded women who uplift and support each other on their journeys.
What business challenges did you face early on?
Luxe Tribe was born out of my own struggle to find activewear that was both comfortable and flattering during and after my pregnancies. I realized there was a significant gap in the market for affordable, high-quality activewear that could adapt to the changing needs of a mom’s body. One of the main differences is no front seams on all leggings and shorts offered! This is huge as it reduces the “pulling” effect immensely…and of course no “camel toe”!
The journey wasn’t easy—juggling a full time job, a newborn and a toddler while starting a business presented many challenges. However, my determination to provide moms with the perfect activewear kept me going. Luxe Tribe Activewear is my answer to the many sleepless nights and hectic days, offering a solution to moms everywhere who want to feel great while managing their busy lives.

What sets Luxe Tribe Activewear apart from other companies is our commitment to combining style, comfort and affordability without compromising on quality. Our activewear features a seamless design to prevent discomfort, buttery soft fabrics and a four-way stretch that adapts to every movement.

What exciting things are coming up for your business?
We are thrilled to announce several exciting developments at Luxe Tribe. We are working on collaborations with other small businesses to bring a “Mommy and Me” line to the market, allowing moms and their little ones to enjoy matching, stylish activewear. Additionally, we are expanding our range to include versatile pieces that can be dressed up or down, providing even more options for busy moms. We are also committed to inclusivity and are in the process of expanding our size offerings.
Currently, we offer sizes XS-XXL depending on the style, but our goal is to broaden this range further to ensure that all moms can find their perfect fit. Lastly, we are working on bringing nursing sports bras to our line for all the breastfeeding mamas! Stay tuned for these exciting launches and more as we continue to grow and evolve our Luxe Tribe Activewear family.
What do you love about working and living in South Florida?
I am originally from Palm Springs, California, so sunshine living was a key selling point when moving to Florida–not to mention a little humidity is good for the skin! The vibrant community, beautiful weather, and dynamic lifestyle offer endless inspiration for Luxe Tribe. I love the diversity and the strong sense of community here. South Florida’s active lifestyle perfectly aligns with our brand’s mission to promote health, wellness, and confidence.
