As parents, we all know how important summer learning is. Our Public Library is launching its annual Boca Raton Summer Reading program with the theme, “Adventure Begins!” Generously supported by Friends of the Boca Raton Public Library, this year’s adventure-themed program will inspire all ages to discover the magic of reading.
Residents are also welcome to participate in the over 100 programs and classes for all ages at the Boca Raton Public Library (BRPL). I can definitely appreciate some FREE summer fun!
Your Boca Raton Summer Reading Adventure Begins Here | 2024 Kickoff Indoor Party!
Boca Raton Summer Reading enrollment begins on June 8th (2024) from 9am-12pm for kids, all ages through the READsquared mobile app or online.
Adventure Begins at Boca Raton Public Library! You are invited to start your adventure by joining them for an exciting drop-in indoor party for all ages that will have a DJ, crafts, airbrush tattoos, snacks, costumed characters, and more. Children can also participate in a fun Treasure Map activity to earn stamps and a prize! Generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
While at the party, don’t forget to enroll in READsquared for children to receive a FREE tote, a new book, and an invitation to Safari Sue’s Magical Expedition and the Starry Night Bubble Party. Books sponsored by Shari and Steve Sadek, with support from the Friends of the Library. Paper reading logs available. Gifts and prizes available while supplies last.
Prevent the “Summer Slide”
Public libraries play a critical role in providing a bridge for academic skills for students over the summer months. This is to help prevent the “summer slide,” during which students may lose educational achievements made over the previous school year. To combat this, the Boca Raton Public Library is presenting an exciting summer of educational initiatives!
The Boca Raton Public Library is a place of learning and discovery for residents of all ages. Adults are also encouraged to participate in Summer Reading to set a good example for their Boca kids. Reading helps adults improve memory, learn new things and enhance well being. We can all use that, right?
