I don’t know about you, but I have found myself focusing on fun more than ever since the year kicked off. (I mean, how about this super cute family photoshoot at local selfie hot spot, The Studio Delray?)

One of the silver linings of the pandemic was that I had time to organize our lives a bit more–plan for the future. Because honestly, wasn’t that all that we were focusing on? I finally got around to our estate planning, I beefed up my 401k. I even started contributing more to my daughter’s Florida 529 Savings Plan that I opened up several years ago with Florida Prepaid! All of these moves toward preparing for my family’s future finally allowed me to stress A LOT less.

If you have been wanting to do the same, then boy do I have a 2024 Florida Prepaid Savings news for you! Their savings plans are now at their lowest prices in 10 YEARS!

2023 Florida Prepaid Savings

Florida Prepaid Open Enrollment is Open 2/1-4/30 (2024)

Florida Prepaid enrollment is NOW OPEN for parents (or other family members) to get some savings started! Full disclosure: we personally got started several years ago and have two 1-Year Florida University Plans, a University Dormitory Plan and a Florida 529 Savings Plan.

Call now! 😉

What is a Florida Prepaid College Plan?

Great question, especially if you are a recently relocated resident of Florida. Chances are your previous home state didn’t have the “longest running and most successful prepaid plan in the nation.” It’s true!

Florida Prepaid offers prepaid college savings plans that give state residents the option to set aside finances for their child’s higher education as soon as he or she is born. This means the future cost of college tuition, specified fees and even dormitory housing. In fact, the earlier you start, the cheaper your monthly installments are!

When your child is ready for college, the plan pays the tuition and fees at any Florida College or State University. If your child attends an out-of-state college, private college, or technical (vocational) school, the plan will pay the same amount as it would pay at a public college or university in Florida. Rest assured, every Florida Prepaid Plan is guaranteed by the State of Florida, so you can never lose what you pay into it.

FYI: You only have to be a state resident to OPEN your Florida Prepaid College Plan. If you move out of state, you’ll still be able to contribute to the plan as if you never left. And bonus? Your child will be considered an in-state resident if he or she decides to return to Florida for their college or university education!

How do I enroll?

Easy! Head to open a 529 Savings Plan and follow the prompts to select the plan(s) you’d like to purchase. There are several different options available. Plus, the age of your child will be a factor when it comes to final pricing.

And remember: Try to get all of your adulting DONE, so you can focus on the FUN!
