Tell us a little about your background and how you started at Raymond James & Associates…
I’m Christine Mills and my husband and I have two children, ages 14 and 10 years old. As a financial advisor at Raymond James in Boca Raton, I help individuals, mostly women and small business owners, make the right financial decisions for their families. Being a mom has impacted my choice to be a financial planner because I love the flexibility the career offers, and I like that there are endless opportunities to help clients.
In my free time, I have hosted The Veranda Entrepreneur Podcast over the past four years, where I interview creative women entrepreneurs.
I started my practice at Raymond James because I enjoy educating clients on various paths, they can use to reach their financial goals, whether that includes paying for their children’s education, purchasing their second home, or saving for that big family dream trip. Although I help clients plan for their retirement, we all must make financial decisions every day, and I serve as an advisor to help my clients make informed decisions.
What’s unique about your position?
I serve the whole client and I strive to find ways to deal with those financial issues that may keep them up at night, while ensuring that they are fully educated every step of the way. What do you love about working and living in South Florida?
I love that in South Florida I can go to the beach, any day of the week and feel a sense of tremendous calm. I also love that I can enjoy year-round sunshine that enables my family to not only enjoy the outdoors but also eat home grown topical fruit. That’s amazing!
