Tell us a little about your backgrounds and how the Concierge Crew South Florida was started…

Hi! I’m Diana and I was born in New Jersey, but raised in Orlando, FL.  I am part of a family of women who were always serving others–mainly nurses and teachers! When I went to college with a major in finance (go Gators!), I met my soon to be husband Andrew. After two years of working plus a wedding, I quickly realized that grind wasn’t for me. I wanted to go back to school to get my masters degree in education and do something that was more aligned with what the other inspiring women in my family were doing.

After two years in education, my first son Elliot arrived right after we moved to South Florida. So, I decided to be a stay-at-home mom and threw myself into the world of mommy-ing! Just like lots of other first-time moms, it was a blur of mommy and me, trying to fit a workout in and getting him to just sleep! Quickly after came my second child, Lily. Two kids shook my world and any free time I had before was now gone. 

As my kids became more independent, I knew it was time for me to do something. Finance was out of the question and I wasn’t exactly sold on going back to teaching. I knew that helping people was something that filled my cup, but how could I make a business out of that?

Enter…the idea for The Concierge Crew.

I wanted to start a business where I could help people for a living. I met so many frazzled moms, whether they were working or had 3 kids or were first-time moms. Sometimes, it was moms who just needed a break! So, the idea of The Concierge Crew South Florida formed. My partner and friend Danielle was the perfect person to start this business with me. She is the ying to my yang! We fill in each other’s weaknesses and both know what families in Boca Raton need. We are both very dedicated to helping others in our area!

I’m Danielle and I was born and raised in Potomac, MD and moved to Boca Raton when I was 14. I have watched this area grow and cannot believe how much it has evolved in the past 20+ years! The best part is so many families have moved here and it is an incredible community! I have lived here with my family, as a single girl, married without kids, and now married with kids. I truly know the ins and outs of this city for every stage of life and have formed so many connections over the years.  

We have two children, both boys (yay boy moms!). They keep me extremely busy as they are very active. I completed college at UCF (go Knights!) with a degree in hospitality management. After college, I worked for a medical education company. I really enjoyed speaking with medical professionals, learning about their lives and helping them.

Once the pandemic came along, just like every other mom, I was trying to figure out how to survive the day to day. My focus became keeping the kids on a routine as much as possible. Once things settled down, I missed the fulfillment of interacting with people. From hospitality management to sales to helping my husband grow his business, I felt the need to start something of my own. 

Diana and I both realized that there was a huge need for something like The Concierge Crew in our town. We always joke and say that we need to hire each other when we are busy working which proves the point that everyone can always use an extra hand! 

Since we started the business, we have had so many people reach out to us and tell us that this is exactly what they need. People (especially moms!) just need help simplifying certain aspects of their lives. The main challenges we have faced are the very different needs of everyone we encounter. We have quickly realized a one size fits all approach does not work. Now, we make huge efforts to get to know our clients and figure out how we can be of assistance to them.

What’s unique about Concierge Crew South Florida and what are some exciting things you have coming up?

Every day is an exciting time for The Concierge Crew! We can’t wait to see who will contact us and what it is they need help with. We are starting our Sleep Away Camp Packing Division where we are going to be shopping, labeling and packing for families with kids going to sleep away camp. We have hired another mom who is an expert in this arena to help us! Another niche we are breaking into is helping owners of short term rentals. The Concierge Crew South Florida is contacted every day for something new, so who knows what tomorrow will bring?

When the Concierge Crew launched, we weren’t 100% certain where this business was going to take us. What we love about it, and what makes it unique, is our ability to adapt and change to what our clients need. We have found that we are able to find bespoke solutions. We both love making connections with people and figuring out how we can tap into local resources to assist.

We are personal assistants on demand that specialize in simplifying and organizing any aspect of your life. The Concierge Crew South Florida aims to give you back more time to do the things you value the most and in turn, reduce stress!

Why should Modern Boca Mom readers become your customers?

We love nothing more than to see our clients breathe a huge sigh of relief when we arrive. The “OMG, I’m so glad you’re here” is our favorite part of what we do! Everyone needs help sometimes. As another MOMpreneur once told us, “Sometimes it feels like the firehose of life is blasting and there’s no way to turn it off. When you girls help me, it feels like the water pressure is being turned down.”

Our goal is to give people time back for self care, quality time with loved ones and a feeling of peace in their everyday lives. There’s nothing more valuable than your time.

What do you love about working and living in South Florida?

We love the easy breezy life of South Florida! From bringing our dogs to the beach in the morning, to running outside, to taking our kids to sports, to dining outside with friends. The Florida life allows us to do these things 365 days a year (as long as there’s no thunderstorms!).
