West Boca Medical Center Pediatrics & Obstetrics | How the West Became the Best

If there’s one thing I’ve learned while being a mom, it’s that parents (and parents-to-be) like OPTIONS. Whether it’s schools (public vs. private, home school), healthcare (traditional, holistic) or even ice cream (fro-yo, nitrogen, standard fare), Boca moms *in particular* like to have choices. We are fortunate to live in a place where that is our reality…especially when it comes to ice cream. 😉 In the healthcare category, our city has two hospitals and several more nearby. However, I’m of the mommy mind that ‘west is best’ and am thrilled to announce a 2020 partnership with West Boca Medical Center pediatrics and obstetrics! Here’s why they are my top choice for hospital care…

West Boca Medical Center: The Only Pediatric Emergency Room in Town

Did you know that West Boca Medical Center (WBMC) has the only dedicated pediatric emergency room in town? An ER visit can be traumatic enough for your family and young child, but you can rest assured they will be well taken care of at WBMC. They offer pediatric ED physicians, skilled ED nurses and even have a separate area in the ER just for kids so that they’re not surrounded by unfamiliar grown-ups in the regular waiting room.

By the way, keep this address on hand. You’ll probably need it someday (because kids are reckless): 21644 State Road 7, Boca Raton, FL 33428

Small Facility Providing Total Care

If your child requires something specific in terms of their health, chances are that West Boca Medical Center pediatrics has a department to assist. They have over 80 pediatric specialists in areas such as neurology, orthopedics and ENT. In addition, they have a pediatric sleep diagnostic center, pediatric intensive care unit and outpatient pediatric therapy center. Your kids will be in the best of hands. Plus, there is continuity in care! Their dedicated staff will make sure your child is taken care of from the moment you enter the hospital while keeping you informed and updated every step of the way.

BTW- WBMC also has board-certified pediatric anesthesiologists on staff in case your child needs surgery. That is a huge sigh of relief for me as a mom!

All you Modern Boca Moms-TO BE out there–this one is for you, especially if you’re a first time mama! WBMC is a wonderful place to have your baby.

West Boca Medical Center’s obstetrics department has highly skilled compassionate nurses. Not to mention a team of longtime doctors to make sure you’ll get the very best in family-friendly care. Their goal is to make your birth experience everything you hoped it would be. Let’s give a shout out to all of their team members, shall we?

  • Obstetrician-Gynecologists
  • Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians
  • Certified nurse midwives
  • Neonatologists in-house 24/7
  • Obstetric anesthesiologists
  • Ultrasound technicians

These professionals are available to answer questions, nurture your baby and make your birth experience a happy (and private) one. Did you know WBMC offers private, comfortable, post-partum rooms with single bathrooms? YES!

For additional peace of mind, should your baby require intensive care, WBMC offers the only level 3 NICU in Boca Raton, Florida’s highest level of critical care for newborns.

I also appreciate that West Boca Medical Center is getting candid on care when it comes to mothers-to-be in labor and delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic. This video is a must watch, mamas.
