2019 South Florida Holiday Events Guide: West Palm Beach

Hoffman’s Chocolates Winter Wonderland | November 16th-December 30th

Located at 5190 Lake Worth Road in Greenacres, Winter Wonderland Admission is FREE & Highlights include:

  • Hoffman’s Chocolates 29th Annual Winter Wonderland Presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital will have more than 125,000 LED lights, captivating holiday light displays and archways, a 12-foot LaCroix Sparkling Christmas tree, a Nativity scene, life-sized Nutcrackers, food trucks and so much more.
  • The gourmet chocolatier is also excited to introduce its updated festive Hanukkah display presented by Florida Blue which will include a 9-foot Dreidel and other holiday décor.
  • Winter Wonderland will be free and open to the public nightly, November 16 through December 30, 2019, from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.*
  • Santa’s Village presented by KeyStaff will allow families to meet and have their photos taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there various nights until December 23rd (check Hoffmans.com for the full schedule)
  • Florida Panthers Hockey Holidays Ice Rink will be located in the front of Hoffman’s Chocolates Factory.  It is a 2,400-square foot outdoor real ice-skating rink where children and adults of all ages can experience winter joy in sunny South Florida (additional fee for skate session and rentals).   • Patrons can also register ahead of time to participate in a Hoffman’s Chocolates Holiday Factory Tour and Chocolate Class presented by Greenspoon Marder which will include a special behind-the-scenes interactive tour through Hoffman’s Chocolate Factory, a special chocolate craft and a scoop of Hoffman’s Chocolates ice cream. Holiday Season at Palm Beach Outlets | November 23rd-December 24th
  • Palm Beach Outlets will continue to offer a present of its own this holiday season, giving each family two free professional Santa photos along with a digital download of a single image. (One giveaway per family, per Christmas season. Some restrictions may apply.) Additional photos and Christmas merchandise will be available for purchase.

  • Palm Beach Outlets will officially kick off its holiday shopping season at 9:00 a.m. on Sat., Nov. 23rd with a host of kids’ activities and the arrival of Santa. At 9:30 a.m., Santa will arrive in a horse-drawn carriage amidst a host of snow flurries! He will be joined by the Ralph Lauren Bear and other characters that include a stilt walker, balloon artist, snowman and Rudolph, strolling photo booths and the sounds of continuous holiday music.

Zoo Lights at the Palm Beach Zoo| November 29th-December 29th; 6:00-10:00 p.m.
  • Zoo Lights is sure to become a Florida holiday tradition for families and friends. The Zoo will be illuminated for the holidays with over one million eco-friendly lights. Thursday – Sunday from 6 – 10 PM the Zoo will be aglow with festive holiday fun featuring photos with Santa, special animal encounters and Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen cookie decorating sponsored by Florida Crystals.
  • The east side of Palm Beach Zoo will be uniquely themed and decked in holiday spirit. From the entry through the Fountain Plaza, guests will experience North Pole Circle in red and white lighted splendor. The Florida Wetlands includes playful displays with white and pink flamingo lights, green lights for Mardi, our leucistic American alligator and multicolor lights throughout the Bear Den. The Mayan Plaza’s giant banyan tree at the center will feature hundreds of icicle lights and a must-see special holiday 3-D display.

Rosemary Square Nightly Snowfall On The Square | November 30th-December 31st
  • Experience the newly reimagined public spaces of Rosemary Square for the first time while kicking off the holidays with the first snowfall of the season, live music, and The Wishing Tree’s spectacular light show.

Sandi Light Shows- Lights, Cameras, Action! Starting December 5th
  • See Sandi… the Star of the Show! Sandi comes to life nightly during music and light shows on the quarter hour, starting at 6:15 p.m.
  • SHOWTIMES: 
    • Sunday-Thursday: 6:15 – 10:00 p.m.
    • Friday-Saturday: 6:15 – 11:00 p.m.
      (Show times subject to adjustment during special events.) 

Garden of Lights: A Winter Holiday Event at Mounts Botanical Garden | December 13th-December 29th
  • Mounts will once again be all a-twinkle on 12 sparkling evenings during the holiday season. Visitors will discover the magic of Mounts at night as thousands of jewel-toned lights illuminate and amplify the lush tropical foliage, majestic trees and signature structures along an easy-to-follow route throughout various garden areas. Highlights include the massive, interactive Stickwork installation, Signature Ridge, Butterfly Garden and the Trellis Tunnel. It’s a magical way to light-up the holiday season for joyous visitors of every age, romantic disposition, and spiritual leaning.

7th Annual Aloha Islanders Holiday Spectacular On The Waterfront
  • Sunday, December 15th 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. When one lucky male fan is selected as the “Big Kahuna” and he gets decked out in traditional hula garb, including a coconut bikini top and grass skirt
  • Annual Conch Blowing Contest (guests must arrive early to register)!
  • In addition to the show, the Van, Surf and Skate Expo and Surfing Florida Museum will provide a showcase of the area’s Best Beach Cars, including Buggies, Beach Vans, Woodies, Buses, and more!

Noon Years Event Downtown at the Gardens | December 31st; 11:00-1:00 p.m.
  • Come ring in the New Year with your family at Downtown at the Gardens for its annual FREE Noon Year’s Eve celebration. This family-friendly event includes a DJ, face painters, balloon artist, games and tons of different activities for the kids to enjoy. There will also be a juice celebration toast as the kids’ countdown to the New Year at noon!

Boynton Beach & Delray Beach 48th Annual Holiday Boat Parade | December 14th; 6:30-9:30 p.m. 
  • The Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency and the City of Delray Beach invite you to celebrate the holiday season Florida style with the Boynton Beach & Delray Beach Holiday Boat Parade! This flotilla of brightly-decorated boats will line up at the Lantana Bridge near Old Key Lime House and motor south at 6:30 p.m. along the Intracoastal Waterway to the C-15 canal in Delray.
  • The South Florida holiday events at the Boynton Harbor Marina starts at 6:00 p.m. with live music setting the stage for the parade. This holiday illumination show can be viewed in Boynton Beach at Intracoastal Park, Jaycee Park and in Delray Beach from Veterans Park. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.

Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, One of Florida’s Oldest Homes, Celebrates its 100th Anniversary with Holiday Magic | December 6th-13th
The Seminole Hard Rock’s Winterfest Boat Parade | December 14th; 6:30 p.m.
  • The 48th Annual Holiday Parade- “Lights, Camera, Action – Movies on Parade.”  Includes a pre-show of non-motorized vessels at 6:00 PM.
  • The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade will stage on the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale, along the docks west of Stranahan House to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
  • The Parade starts at Stranahan House traveling East along the New River in Fort Lauderdale to the Intracoastal Waterway as it continues North to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach. It’s 12 Miles of the “Greatest Show on H20.”
  • The parade takes approximately 2 and 1/2 hours to view from one location (starting locations stagger as you travel north.

Tri-Rail Celebrates with Winter Wonderland Station | December 14th; 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
  • South Floridians dreaming of a white Christmas do not have to look any further than Tri-Rail’s Winter Wonderland at the Miami Airport Station. The free, family-friendly event will feature 20 tons of snow, bounce houses, food trucks, face painting, cookie decorating, a coloring station, holiday carolers and a Broadway Across America ticket raffle.
  • Event goers are encouraged to ride the train to the event. Tickets are $5 to ride Tri-Rail for the entire day or $2.50 for students, seniors, and persons with disabilities who have a registered discount EASY Card. Kids under 5 years ride for free.
