In an effort to save our collective parental holiday sanity, MBMom has consolidated the BEST 2019 South Florida Holiday events into a handy guide (***to be updated regularly***), with a star* next to the ones my family and I hope to bump into you while attending. 🙂

2019 South Florida Holiday Events Guide: West Palm Beach

Hoffman’s Chocolates Winter Wonderland | November 16th-December 30th

Located at 5190 Lake Worth Road in Greenacres, Winter Wonderland Admission is FREE & Highlights include:

  • Hoffman’s Chocolates 29th Annual Winter Wonderland Presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital will have more than 125,000 LED lights, captivating holiday light displays and archways, a 12-foot LaCroix Sparkling Christmas tree, a Nativity scene, life-sized Nutcrackers, food trucks and so much more.
  • The gourmet chocolatier is also excited to introduce its updated festive Hanukkah display presented by Florida Blue which will include a 9-foot Dreidel and other holiday décor.
  • Winter Wonderland will be free and open to the public nightly, November 16 through December 30, 2019, from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.*
  • Santa’s Village presented by KeyStaff will allow families to meet and have their photos taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there various nights until December 23rd (check Hoffmans.com for the full schedule)
  • Florida Panthers Hockey Holidays Ice Rink will be located in the front of Hoffman’s Chocolates Factory.  It is a 2,400-square foot outdoor real ice-skating rink where children and adults of all ages can experience winter joy in sunny South Florida (additional fee for skate session and rentals).   • Patrons can also register ahead of time to participate in a Hoffman’s Chocolates Holiday Factory Tour and Chocolate Class presented by Greenspoon Marder which will include a special behind-the-scenes interactive tour through Hoffman’s Chocolate Factory, a special chocolate craft and a scoop of Hoffman’s Chocolates ice cream. Holiday Season at Palm Beach Outlets | November 23rd-December 24th
  • Palm Beach Outlets will continue to offer a present of its own this holiday season, giving each family two free professional Santa photos along with a digital download of a single image. (One giveaway per family, per Christmas season. Some restrictions may apply.) Additional photos and Christmas merchandise will be available for purchase.

  • Palm Beach Outlets will officially kick off its holiday shopping season at 9:00 a.m. on Sat., Nov. 23rd with a host of kids’ activities and the arrival of Santa. At 9:30 a.m., Santa will arrive in a horse-drawn carriage amidst a host of snow flurries! He will be joined by the Ralph Lauren Bear and other characters that include a stilt walker, balloon artist, snowman and Rudolph, strolling photo booths and the sounds of continuous holiday music.

Zoo Lights at the Palm Beach Zoo| November 29th-December 29th; 6:00-10:00 p.m.
  • Zoo Lights is sure to become a Florida holiday tradition for families and friends. The Zoo will be illuminated for the holidays with over one million eco-friendly lights. Thursday – Sunday from 6 – 10 PM the Zoo will be aglow with festive holiday fun featuring photos with Santa, special animal encounters and Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen cookie decorating sponsored by Florida Crystals.

Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa Holiday Tree Lighting | November 29th; 6:00-8:00 p.m.
  • The magic of Christmas will come to life in the grand lobby of Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa on November 29. You’re invited to kick-off the holiday season with a Christmas Tree Lighting celebration featuring holiday music by Chad Michaels, former pianist to Celine Dion.

Clematis by Night Tree Lighting | December 5th; 6:00 p.m.
  • *This December, the City of West Palm Beach is rolling out the red carpet for one of the BIGGEST celebrities ever during Holiday in Paradise.  Taking center stage on the West Palm Beach Waterfront is Sandi, the World’s ONLY 600-ton sand tree.  Truly the star of the show, Sandi is a staggering 35 feet tall and dazzles crowds with nightly music and light shows starting at the Clematis by Night Tree Lighting, through December 31st.
  • Sandi’s phenomenal supporting cast includes four additional, award-worthy sand sculptures and tons of FREE family fun including a backstage peek in Sandi’s Dressing Room and the whimsical SnowieVille, where kids can build a tropical snowman.  The popular Glow FORE It 9-hole Mini Golf returns to the Waterfront along with over a dozen of your favorite City events.

Sandi Light Shows- Lights, Cameras, Action! Starting December 5th
  • See Sandi… the Star of the Show! Sandi comes to life nightly during music and light shows on the quarter hour, starting at 6:15 p.m.
    • Sunday-Thursday: 6:15 – 10:00 p.m.
    • Friday-Saturday: 6:15 – 11:00 p.m.
      (Show times subject to adjustment during special events.) 

“Movie Night” Showing “Elf” At Manatee Lagoon, FPL Eco-Discovery Center FREE | December 8th; 5:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
  • Manatee Lagoon invites you to join us for an outdoor movie night under the stars on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. featuring the movie “Elf”.
  • Food and beverages will be for sale for the duration of the event. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and arrive early for the best seats. The movie will begin at sunset. Please note, this event will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Parking: Parking is free and available on a first come, first served basis.  Restrictions: Restrictions include pets, smoking and the use of personal coolers.  RSVP: Please note, we are asking for RSVPs for planning purposes only. Garden of Lights: A Winter Holiday Event at Mounts Botanical Garden | December 13th-December 29th
  • Mounts will once again be all a-twinkle on 12 sparkling evenings during the holiday season. Visitors will discover the magic of Mounts at night as thousands of jewel-toned lights illuminate and amplify the lush tropical foliage, majestic trees and signature structures along an easy-to-follow route throughout various garden areas. Highlights include the massive, interactive Stickwork installation, Signature Ridge, Butterfly Garden and the Trellis Tunnel. It’s a magical way to light-up the holiday season for joyous visitors of every age, romantic disposition, and spiritual leaning.

  • Come ring in the New Year with your family at Downtown at the Gardens for its annual FREE Noon Year’s Eve celebration. This family-friendly event includes a DJ, face painters, balloon artist, games and tons of different activities for the kids to enjoy. There will also be a juice celebration toast as the kids’ countdown to the New Year at noon!

Boynton Beach & Delray Beach 48th Annual Holiday Boat Parade | December 14th; 6:30-9:30 p.m. 
  • The Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency and the City of Delray Beach invite you to celebrate the holiday season Florida style with the Boynton Beach & Delray Beach Holiday Boat Parade! This flotilla of brightly-decorated boats will line up at the Lantana Bridge near Old Key Lime House and motor south at 6:30 p.m. along the Intracoastal Waterway to the C-15 canal in Delray.
  • The South Florida holiday events at the Boynton Harbor Marina starts at 6:00 p.m. with live music setting the stage for the parade. This holiday illumination show can be viewed in Boynton Beach at Intracoastal Park, Jaycee Park and in Delray Beach from Veterans Park. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.

*Holiday Photos with Santa at Town Center at Boca Raton | November 8th-December 24th
  • Santa Claus is coming to town! Join Town Center at Boca Raton in celebrating Santa’s long journey from the North Pole to Boca Raton on Friday, November 8th! The festivities begin at 6 p.m. in Nordstrom Court where Santa will show up in style in a 2020 Lexus RX, sponsored by JM Lexus. Santa will take his place at his holiday hangout, pose for photos and listen to holiday wishes from everyone on the nice list through Christmas Eve.

  • Holly jolly games, treats and music for Santa’s arrival include:

    • A holiday craft station
    • Cookie decorating and hot cocoa

    • Live holiday music from the Boca Raton Community High School Marching Band and DJ

  • Children will have the opportunity to visit with Santa and have their photo taken with him. Town Center at Boca Raton will make necessary adjustments to the environment to support the sensory, physical and other developmental needs of children of all abilities for this special event.   • In addition to shopping at this Boca Raton Holiday Market, there will be food trucks and snacks. Last year’s Spring Cleaning Flea Market event was a huge fundraiser for the school’s parents association (GAP). This year’s holiday event will also be supporting them!

  • A series of winter holiday festivities including parades, concerts and more kicks off with a free Holiday Festival culminating with the tree lighting at the Mizner Park Amphitheater.

Jingle Jam at Mizner Park Amphitheater | December 7th; 5:00-11:00 p.m.
  • Jingle Jam, presented by Vinsane at the Mizner Park Amphitheater is a special holiday event for adults only (18+) and will feature hundreds of attendees dressed in their favorite holiday attire (Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Elves, Hanukkah Harry, and more!).   • December 11th from 7:30pm to 9:00pm: Parade route begins at Federal Hwy & SE 5th Street, traveling north to Mizner Park Amphitheater. Please note: Federal Hwy. will be closed to vehicular traffic from Glades Road going south to Camino Real starting at 5:00 p.m. to approx. 11:00 p.m. The City of Boca Raton’s 49th Holiday Street Parade welcomes more than 70 floats and groups to entertain viewers as they bring dance, lights and song to Federal Highway in Boca Raton.

All Aboard The Polar Express Trains at Select Brightline Locations Ft.Lauderdale/Miami | November 16th-December 29th
  • Arrive one hour prior to departure for a pre-show experience with the Museum of Discovery and Science elves. Christmas on Las Olas | December 3rd; 5:00-10:00 p.m.
    • Las Olas Boulevard will transform into an urban winter wonderland and celebrate its 57th year creating holiday magic in downtown Fort Lauderdale! Christmas on Las Olas is a timeless tradition and a wonderful kick-off to the holiday season that can be enjoyed by all ages.
    • The event runs between S.E. 6th Avenue and S.E. 11th Avenue, and is free and open to the public. Highlights include 30 performances on four stages, Snow Mountain (with real snow!), ice skating, photos with Santa, a holiday-themed bounce house and more. A lighted menorah will also mark the Hanukkah celebration. The event is free to attend and open to the public.

The Seminole Hard Rock’s Winterfest Boat Parade | December 14th; 6:30 p.m.
  • The 48th Annual Holiday Parade- “Lights, Camera, Action – Movies on Parade.”  Includes a pre-show of non-motorized vessels at 6:00 PM.
  • The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade will stage on the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale, along the docks west of Stranahan House to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
  • The Parade starts at Stranahan House traveling East along the New River in Fort Lauderdale to the Intracoastal Waterway as it continues North to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach. It’s 12 Miles of the “Greatest Show on H20.”
  • The parade takes approximately 2 and 1/2 hours to view from one location (starting locations stagger as you travel north.

Tri-Rail Celebrates with Winter Wonderland Station | December 14th; 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
  • South Floridians dreaming of a white Christmas do not have to look any further than Tri-Rail’s Winter Wonderland at the Miami Airport Station. The free, family-friendly event will feature 20 tons of snow, bounce houses, food trucks, face painting, cookie decorating, a coloring station, holiday carolers and a Broadway Across America ticket raffle.
  • Event goers are encouraged to ride the train to the event. Tickets are $5 to ride Tri-Rail for the entire day or $2.50 for students, seniors, and persons with disabilities who have a registered discount EASY Card. Kids under 5 years ride for free.
