As the wife of Handy Andy Boca, let’s just say that home improvement projects are a regular occurrence around our house. You see, we moved into a big fixer-upper after we relocated to Boca Raton from New York City. We have learned to get creative when it comes to designing/re-doing a room or carving out a project budget. Honestly, we were only able to afford our Boca kitchen project by doing the install ourselves. And I had to nix my dream ‘home bar’ in the process…
You see, the original design required a ton of cabinets. And in case you haven’t renovated your own kitchen recently, those babies are not cheap! So when NewAir reached out asking me to test drive their AWR-190SB 19 Bottle Compressor Wine Cooler, I jumped at the chance. Besides the opportunity to have a dedicated fridge for my wine (woo hoo!!!), the cooler was cabinet height! It can be freestanding or installed in lieu of a cabinet. Perhaps my home bar dreams might come true after all?
Enter Handy Andy for this Boca kitchen project…
Pretty sweet, right?
In this home bar design rendering, Handy Andy placed the NewAir Wine Cooler on the right hand side, a 24″ cabinet in the middle and another NewAir product on the left, to be reviewed at a later date. đ
Adding on a butcher block countertop (vs. pricey quartz or granite), this just made our Boca kitchen project not only more affordable, but productive as well for all types of beverages. I love it!
In the meantime, I’m feeling like a true wine connoisseur with the NewAir 19 Bottle Compressor Wine Cooler. It creates optimal conditions for preserving and protecting your wine collection.
Some of the great features:
- Includes fan to minimize temperature fluctuations
- Includes carbon filters
- Plastic tub helps increase humidity control
- Customized light settings. Can set light at 100%, 50%, or Off
That blue light and the slide out beech wood shelves just make it for me. And did I mention it comes with a lock to keep the kiddos or handsy house guests out?
You can also switch the handle to either side of the wine cooler, so the door opens in your preferred direction. They’ve thought of everything!
