Knock knock! Who’s there? Sir Dapp. Sir Dapp who? It’s Sir Dapp the app! A new manners app for kids that makes learning about etiquette and courtesy…well, really fun! Sir Dapp is a ‘Manners Master’ who gently teaches through example. His fun raps show children the right way to start living the Golden Rule. (Do you know it? It’s really cool. Just treat others the way you want to be treated!)
In my last blog post about my family’s favorite animated, silver-haired schnauzer, Sir Dapp, I mentioned that I strongly believe in etiquette. But, when it comes to kids and manners…well…they have a tendency to slide if they’re not a priority. Luckily one local mom had a brilliant idea to get children to start thinking about themselves, their actions and the way they interact with others through a brand NEW manners app for kids called: Sir Dapp! Game Show
A NEW Manners App for Kids: Sir Dapp! Game Show
On the app ($3.99 on Google Play and the Apple App Store), kids ages 5-7 can choose from courtesy categories such as “Sight What’s Polite”, “Historically Rude”, “Keeping it Clean” and “Trivia Soup”. The app’s main canine character, Sir Dapp, will guide them to complete fun raps, decide “who did it?”, figure out what is polite/rude and more!
A word or two from guest stars “The Dollie”, Sir Dapp’s gentle canine cousin, and comic foil, the biscuit-loving goose “Grumpy Gertrude”, will have kids feeling good about their choices. They’ll also be LOL’ing in no time at GG’s quips and Dapp’s young nephew Duffie’s antics. Occasional commercial “breaks”, PSA’s and music videos with teaching messages further the app’s game show theme.
I downloaded it myself (so cute!) and #dailybocaavery definitely thinks it was RUDE that Goldilocks entered the 3 Bears’ home without permission and ate their porridge. 😉

Children’s Music Album Targets Self Esteem & Social Survival
Sir Dapp has been busy. Fresh on the heels of the well-received holiday single, “Santa Spirit,” the manners-centric Schnauzers of fictitious band,’Sir Dapp & The Paw Prints’ have debuted their first full-length album, “This Is Our Time.”
The animated group’s sound taps genres from rock, to pop to jazz, while insightful lyrics address topics that include self-image, kindness, respect, and the power of words.
Written and produced by Jeanne Marie Tidwell of Crystal Tree Group and Luciano “Looch” Delgado of Miami Beach Recording Studio, the quality music sets the stage for insightful moments between kids and parents, dance, and just plain fun.
And, the album’s real-life singers are seasoned recording artists:
- Eli Jacobson of The Sing-Off and Orlando’s renowned a cappella group VoicePlay
- Rachel Potter of “X Factor”, Broadway’s “Addams Family”, “Evita” and “Wicked”. She is also currently part of Nashville country band “Steel Union”
“This Is Our Time” by Sir Dapp & The Paw Prints is available now for streaming and purchase on all digital platforms {affiliate link}.
