My thinking before becoming a mom: “I’ll just have the yearbook company take my kid’s photo every year. Done and done!” My thinking after becoming a mom: “No single yearbook photo will ever capture the essence of my magical and perfect Boca baby!!!” Ok…I’m being a tad dramatic, but a new tradition has been born in my household: the Boca Raton photoshoot for back to school!
Oh yes, add it to our holiday and Halloween family photoshoot traditions, but there was no way I wasn’t going to capture the excitement of #dailybocaavery starting preschool for the first time.

Luckily, newcomer to Boca Naomi Phelps of Sweet Memories Photography somehow sensed my mommy anxiety and suggested we get #dailybocaavery dressed up in her new spiffy Grandview Preparatory School uniform and organize a Boca Raton photoshoot to commemorate this big change in our lives.
Naomi, formerly of the Washington D.C. area, has photographed over 90 weddings, countless engagement, family, newborn, and maternity sessions, and has documented corporate events with speakers such as Stevie Wonder, Maya Angelou, and Joel McHale.
The photos came out 10x better than I ever could have imagined.
Sweet Memories Photography Boca Raton Photoshoot: Back-to-School
We took Sweet Memories Photography all over Grandview’s beautiful campus and captured shots in places where #dailybocaavery would spend many of her days over the next school year.
Naomi somehow convinced our strong-willed daughter to smile AND look at the camera. No easy feat– I know this personally! She was truly lovely (and EASY) to work with on this Boca Raton photoshoot!
We even had the opportunity to take some great family photos during the shoot! We tried to dress to represent “The Pride” in red, white and blue.
