Margaret, we are so proud that one of our very own started such a successful business! Happy MBMom here! Tell us a little bit about your background, mommyhood and how you got started with ReStyle Home…
Being a mom didn’t necessarily “launch” my business – well—maybe it did. When became a mom to my daughter, Edison (now 3), I wanted to be the best person I could be for her. I wanted to be the best version of myself, the best role model. She challenged me to become the woman I am now, simply by existing. When her brother, William (now 2) followed 18 months later, that focus grew to include him as well.
RESTYLE HOME is the result of a long road with many stops and false starts along the way, but it is so beautiful because of that. Being a mom with two little ones forced me manage my time well, to take stock of what is really important in life, evaluate the kind of person I want to be, and determine what impact I want my life to have on those around me.
To be candid, for the majority of my life, if there were trophies given out for self- doubt, I would have won the biggest one.
RESTYLE HOME is me walking the walk, not just talking the talk – in part because of my kids. I want them to see a life lived out in love and free of fear. I want them to see how good life can be if they let go of fear, self-doubt and trust God. I could not do this without the love of Jesus, the incredible support of my family and friends and my amazing husband. I know this sounds like I just won a VMA, but I swear it is the truth!
My personal mission –which extends to RESTYLE HOME– is to be a blessing to others. The service that RESTYLE provides truly helps people, and that is a privilege that I do not take for granted. Finding someone the perfect glass staircase from somewhere like Pear Stairs is something that fills me with pride when I see the smiles on my clients face.
How did you finally get started?
Ever since I can remember, I have always been about presentation – I love to create an experience for someone, something they can connect with – something memorable.
In this way, home staging has always appealed to me and as a real estate agent, it was never an option for me not to stage the listings I represented. So then to transition to owning and operating a home staging company was a very organic progression. Staging can take a house that buyers think is “just ok” to being “the one”, with a few simple changes – and the transformation and resulting sale thrills me to this day.
What makes your business unique?
We are not simply a furniture rental company. We are a full-service home staging firm, focused on presenting properties of all price points in their best light by providing whatever that property might need –paint, repairs, new fixtures, a whole house of furniture or just a consultation.
Because of our real estate background, we understand the entire home sales process – from the listing presentation to closing, and everything in between. We know what sellers are going through, we know what real estate agents are facing, and we know what buyers want. There is a real need for sellers and real estate agents to have access the service that RESTYLE HOME provides that can help them maximize their bottom line – one that hasn’t really existed locally, until now.

What do you love about living and working in South Florida?
I’m a design junkie- and I get bored easily. It has been so much FUN to get my hands on and ‘restyle’ literally every kind of property – from luxury oceanfront condos to sprawling estate homes and charming bungalows. Florida has so much to offer and it’s been tremendously fun to experiment with all of the different lifestyles that this area offers.
