Tell us a little about your background and why you decided to become a professional matchmaker…
Hi! I’m Laura Jacobs, founder of Laura The Matchmaker and the Senior Matchmaker at Cinqe Matchmaking. I am both an elite professional matchmaker and a dedicated mother to two sets (yes 2!) of twin boys under 2 years old!
My journey into motherhood has profoundly shaped the way I approach matchmaking. Having to balance the demands of raising four children with the complexities of running a leading matchmaking and coaching business, I understand the value of time and the importance of genuine connections.

This understanding and growth have seeped into the fabric of Cinqe Matchmaking, making us more attuned to our clients’ needs and desires, and elevating our professional matchmaker services to a new level of personalized attention and care.
Each time I got pregnant, I worried that I would not be able to take on as much at work, but honestly, these years have been so transformative for me, and truly changed who I am and made me a better matchmaker! Cinqe has a team of 7 matchmakers total, so we are all able to work together and make sure every client receives personalized attention as well.
What challenges did you face early on?
Cinqe Matchmaking was founded in response to an evident gap in the market for a personalized, confidential and highly effective matchmaking service. We identified that elite singles, particularly in South Florida, were seeking a service that truly understood their lifestyle, preferences and needs. It wasn’t an easy journey, as establishing trust and credibility in this niche market was a challenge. However, our dedication, consistency and successful matches have helped us carve our place in the market.
What is unique about your services and why should our single Modern Boca Mom readers become your clients?
What sets me/us apart from other matchmakers is my unique and personalized approach. We go beyond just matching profiles based on interests or demographics. We delve deep into understanding our clients’ lifestyles, personalities and partner expectations, which enables us to create truly compatible matches.
I feel matchmaking is a gift and with many successful marriages and relationships under my belt, I am confident that I have this gift to bring people together and find them true love!
I also have a large media presence, having starred in a show on the Roku Channel that came out last July and I’ve appeared on many news stations as an expert in the field. I am also in a happy relationship and knew what it felt like to struggle to find one! I truly empathize with my clients in their search and am my own success story too when it comes to finding love and having the children I so desperately wanted.

We are continuously expanding and enhancing our services. We are excited to announce that we will be introducing virtual dating consultations and I already offer coaching sessions as a professional matchmaker, which will allow us to serve our clients even better, regardless of their geographical location.

What I love about living and working in South Florida is the vibrant and diverse community. The mix of cultures, combined with the beautiful beaches and lively lifestyle, makes it a wonderful place to live and find love. Each day is unique and each client brings a new and exciting challenge which makes my work incredibly fulfilling. We live in paradise and there’s no better place than Florida to find love!
