Of all the house projects I tackled during the 2020 pandemic, who knew my Boca Raton laundry room would be my favorite one. Yes, I have officially fallen victim to making the workhorse room of our house look worthy enough for the ‘gram. Good thing I married a handyman! And P.S. I’m not alone. If you search the hashtag #laundryroommakeover on Instagram, you’ll find drool-worthy laundry stations featuring everything from trendy floral wallpaper and custom shelves to cheeky signs and ornately stenciled floors.
But of course now that I have this gorgeous laundry room, why in the world would I want to mess it up by actually…doing laundry? 😉
I’m only half kidding, but you moms know what I’m talking about!
Sometimes, the laundry process can be arduous. Tedious. Overwhelming. I have no idea how my family creates so many dirty clothes every week–and I only have ONE KID!!! That’s why I’m so excited to introduce you to HappyNest, the Boca Raton laundry service us moms never knew we needed.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been coming up with ALL KINDS of home improvement ideas after being stuck inside the past few weeks. And as much as I would like to purchase a new garage door, build an outdoor kitchen and gut my daughter’s 1980’s bathroom, those big ticket items are probably on hold until Boca is open for business again.
Luckily, one of the things that I can do on my own (…or maybe with a little assistance from my handyman husband) is make our home a little smarter. I’ve discovered that with some help from my friend Amazon, plus the 4 tips below, you too can create a smart home inexpensively while stuck indoors!
Since the day #modernbocadad and I moved into our “forever home” almost 7 years ago, we wanted to make over our Boca Raton patio and pool. Our pool was built in 1981 and while our ages may be close, it was in much rougher shape initially.
When we re-did our kitchen in 2017, we had to nix our dream of building a ‘home bar’ to stay on budget. We had so many cabinets and pricey counter tops to buy, I just couldn’t justify the additional cost at the time. But then I got the itch…that home renovation craving to do a project this fall. Can you blame me? I’m married to Handy Andy Bocaafter all! I’m the queen of the ongoing honey-do list. 😉 But I’ll be honest. It was also fueled by NewAir(remember their amazing 19 bottle wine cooler??) shipping us a ridiculously cool (pun intended)126 can Newair Home Beverage Fridge to try out.
I mean, how could I NOT include it our dream/future home bar?
With the capacity to hold up to 126 standard cans, you can fit all the drinks you want inside — without having to make room for a larger appliance. That’s over 20 full six-packs, so you’ll never be left high and dry in the middle of a party or with your thirsty children.
