Boca Raton Museum of Art Summer Art Camp
Did you know that students who work in the arts are 4 times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement – but barely 30% of schools partner with museums and artists to provide high-quality arts education? The Boca Raton Museum of Art and Art School are resources for families in our community to close the gap in arts education and gain an edge for the next school year.
The Art School will return again for 10 weeks this year under the direction of professional artist and arts instructor Eydi Lampasona. Weekly 2016 South Florida Summer Camps sessions begin June 6 and continue through August 12 with classes on painting, drawing, sculpting, and more for ages 5 – 12. There are also special sessions for students who wish to develop their skills as they prepare to apply for special arts programs, such as those at Bak Middle School of the Arts or Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Students who have never attended Summer Art Camp are welcome to attend a Camp Preview at the Art School on April 9 at 1:00 p.m.
