Family-Friendly Newsies Coming to Mizner Park Cultural Center for 2 Nights Only

Spring musicals weren’t really “a thing” when I was in high school. Boca High didn’t have the auditorium facilities it does now, so it was pretty much cheerleading and football and basketball games for me! Now working with (and at) Grandview Preparatory School, it has given me a second chance to be a part of a springtime musical…as a parent spectator of course. 😉 This year, Grandview is putting on Newsies at Mizner Park Cultural Center April 8-9, (2022)…and it’s a must-see!

Synopsis: When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys’ expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what’s right. Including the now-classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Newsies at Mizner Park Cultural Center is a timeless story full of spirit and heart.

About Grandview: Grandview Preparatory School is a small, diverse community committed to the philosophy that education is a personal endeavor.
