A City-Wide VIRTUAL Scavenger Hunt in Boca Raton for Kids

Children ages 5-12 are invited to engage in our fair city’s month-long, VIRTUAL scavenger hunt in Boca Raton! Through the STEAM through September initiative, a collaboration between the Children’s Science Explorium at Sugar Sand Park, the Boca Raton Public Library, Team Terry Story – Keller Williams Realty of Boca Raton and Gumbo Limbo Nature Center will provide FREE “STEAM through September” activity tote bags, created for students and their families, to engage in STEAM (S)cience, (T)echnology, (E)ngineering, (A)rt and (M)ath at-home and outdoor activities throughout the month.

What a fun thing to do with the kids this month in our area! And it’s free!

The program kicks-off on Saturday, August 29th (2020) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Sugar Sand Park, 300 S. Military Trail.

Here’s how the scavenger hunt in Boca Raton works…

We have created STEAM through September tote bags, for your family to engage in safe STEAM-themed programming both at home and outdoors (gasp!). To kick-off the month, we will be passing out our 2020 STEAM through September totes at Sugar Sand Park on Saturday, August 29, 2020, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. They will be available on a first-come-first-served basis until supplies run out. So ready, get set, STEAM on over! These kits will go fast!

Each tote will include five activity bags (one for each discipline) and will be available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.

This year’s tote giveaway looks different from past years. Facilities across Boca partnered up to create an annual City-wide “STEAM through September” scavenger hunt. From coding classes at the Boca Raton Public Library, to building rockets at the Children’s Science Explorium, the goal has always been to ignite a spark for students to continue their education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.
