Three major Alzheimer’s organizations are joining forces to make a difference in 2018. You heard it here! Get ready for the 4th Annual Alzheimer’s Brain Bowl Luncheon on Friday, February 23rd! It’s chaired by local probate attorney (and one of our featured MOMpreneurs) Pamela Higer-Polani. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Boca West Country Club. We are really looking forward to it! I’m attending in honor of my 86 year-old grandmother who was diagnosed last year.
4th Annual Alzheimer’s Brain Bowl Luncheon
This will be the first event ever that all three major Alzheimer’s organizations will combine forces. They are the Louis & Anne Greene Memory and Wellness Center, the Alzheimer’s Association and Alzheimer’s Community Care. Together, they are working to raise funds and awareness concerning dementia and Alzheimer’s in our community.

Nearly 1,000 business, community and political leaders are expected to attend, network and support finding a cure for this horrific disease that affects so many South Florida residents. In our county alone, an estimated 1 in 3 people over the age of 65, is impacted by this devastating condition.
Judy Herman, a former Jeopardy champion and avid puzzle and games enthusiast, will be providing cerebral challenges for the Alzheimer’s Brain Bowl audience. In addition to teaching monthly classes at dozens of senior communities, Herman presents her popular “Brain-tertainment” programs on cruise ships and to business, social, charitable and educational organizations. Each table will work as a team during the Alzheimer’s Brain Bowl Luncheon to solve fun word games and logic puzzles. There will be many opportunities to win fabulous prizes. This should be fun!
