Wow, December has been quite the month so far, right? Between all of the holiday prep craziness and the rampant spread of colds and the flu at school, I’m more than ready to say farewell to 2017!
I’m not ashamed to admit it. I am stressed out. I’m honestly tempted to just check out, but I’m a mom and that’s not a part of our job description! We have important things to do before the year is over…like select Florida health insurance.
Ok, normally health insurance stresses this mom out big time. But after working with Florida KidCare over the past few months, I’ve learned how easy they make it to enroll. Make it YOUR New Year’s resolution to ensure your kids have quality health and dental coverage in 2018! Based on this month alone… you’re probably going to need it.
Here’s the Florida KidCare breakdown, so you can see which Florida health insurance options your family can apply for:
Put very simply, Florida KidCare is the umbrella brand for four government-sponsored health insurance programs. Together, they provide a seamless continuum of coverage for Florida children from birth through the end of age 18.
- Medicaid for Children: Birth-18 years of age
- MediKids: 1-4 years of age
- Florida Healthy Kids: 5-18 years of age
- Children’s Medical Services Managed Care Plan: Birth-18 years of age with special health care needs
Once you determine which “insurance bucket” your kids fall into, it’s simple to apply and confirm which plan is right for you. The best part? You can do so ANYTIME (so the best time to apply is NOW)!
You can apply for Florida KidCare online, speak to a representative at 1-888-540-KIDS (5437) anytime between 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. or connect with an in-person application specialist. The choice is yours!
I’ll see you on the other side of my stressful mommy to do list! Hang in there…
