There’s a City-Wide Scavenger Hunt in Boca Raton for Kids

Children ages 5-12 are invited to explore our fair city’s award-winning facilities in a month-long, scavenger hunt in Boca Raton! Through the STEAM through September initiative, a collaboration between the Children’s Science Explorium at Sugar Sand Park, the Boca Raton Public Library and Gumbo Limbo Nature Center will provide engaging activities and exhibits at each of the locations focusing on (S)cience, (T)echnology, (E)ngineering, (A)rt and (M)ath.

What a fun thing to do with the kids this month in our area! And it’s free!

Here’s how the scavenger hunt in Boca Raton works…

Children can earn passport stamps at each of the participating locations by completing STEAM challenges. Once they have completed a challenge in each of the five STEAM categories, they will be eligible to collect a prize!

The passport can be picked up at participating locations. It features all of the registration information and exhibits happening throughout the month of September (2017).

Passports can also be downloaded at www.scienceexplorium.org/steam.

The fine print…

Some programs require pre-registration and/or fees.  Class size and/or supplies may be limited.  All five stamps are required to receive prizes, and all prizes must be claimed by October 13, 2017 at any participating facility.
