The Great Party Invite Debate: Paper vs. Online Party Invitations

Paper vs Online Party Invitations…or is either fine?

I am in the early stages of planning #dailybabyavery’s 1st birthday party, yet I feel like I’m woefully behind for a Modern Boca Mom…and a blogger. I’m a big online reader and let me tell you, some of these mommy bloggers are intimidating, especially when it comes to planning and capturing images of their kids’ parties. How can I compete?

Well, NYC Michelle would have thrown some money at the situation and hired professionals to handle the execution side of party planning, but SOFL Michelle is on more of a budget and despite the time crunch, I’d really like to plan this party myself.

“1” is a huge milestone, right? It may not end up being picture perfect, but Avery is my baby. She deserves a celebration from the heart.

First Up: Paper vs Online Party Invitations

Because Avery’s personal hashtag has become such a part of her “baby image,” I decided to theme her birthday party around it.

So, when I was perusing Pinterest for inspiration on paper vs online party invitations, I came across this gem:

However, the thought of duplicating 30 of these by hand while Avery crawls around stealing felt circles and eating rainbow ribbon gave me heart palpitations, so I thought what’s the harm is making a digital version?  Less waste, no stamps needed.

It may not be “Pinterest crafty,” but this is the ‘almost-finished, still needs some tweaks’ product.  What do you think?
